When remote work took off during the lockdowns and the pandemic, the disabled community was finally able to find jobs. During this time more disabled people were being hired than ever before. But now thanks to the return to the office movement executives and Congress is pushing disabled people are being fired for not being able to work in person. Remote work has been giving the disabled a chance to finally be independent and gain the freedom and equality they've been fighting for. And these old rich bastards are completely sweeping away that from them without even considering them to begin with. As more and more jobs go back to being in person or a hybrid schedule, less disabled are being employed and are losing their benefits like healthcare. The disabled community has the highest rates of unemployment in the US to begin with. Remote work was slowly starting to change that. But now that's not the case anymore. It's annoying how so little the disabled community is thought of in the working world or society in general. To the point where, they instantly get fired just because they can't drive.
