Someone on LinkedIn reached out to me for a position. She was a pretty-screener / recruiter, and I basically checked out when she said it was on-site approximately an hour from my home (I currently wfh.)
I wasn’t interested in the commute but proceeded with the phone interview for some much needed practice, and then we got to the stupid “greatest weakness” question.
Why do they ask this? What is the point of a pre-screener asking this question?
I have an appropriate bs answer (and they never contacted me afterward) but I’m still wondering why tf they ask this.
