TLDR: making things is taking longer and I need the terms and formulas to show the calculations for the situation
Good morning all I could use some help from the reddit hive mind.
So I work for an aircraft company in the Midwest of America. My town is home to names like Boeing and Spirit so that should narrow it down.
My company is both international and yet acts like a ma and pa shop. I swear we do almost “hand made” or artisnal parts as we have little automation. I've been running into a problem though and could use some information.
Since we hand produce parts production times can be variable based on what we get from our vendors.
My bosses have been on me about my production times and I have explained the problems with piss poor vendor service and my having to correct things so I can do my job. One boss claims we have accounted for all this while I look at the times and wonder why is it that I need 4 to 5 hours on a job to the two that it claims.
NOW to the meat of this. I've been looking for the term that defines the change over time in production and flaws so that I can more accurately calculate the time taken and prove the point of why it's getting worse. Believe me I've been pushing back the whole time and backing up my position with evidence at every turn.
To anyone who helps with this thanks
