I used to work for a company called Gigantic Motors (to obscure their name) doing IT on the plant floor. One day I was talking to a supervisor and one of the line workers came up and said that he needed to take a shit real bad. The supervisor refused to let him go and that he would get reprimanded if he left. A little bit later the employee came back and said that he shit his pants and what should he do now.
Another get episode was when my stomach was feeling real bad and I told my manager that I needed to leave as I was likely going to puke. He was talking to his boss at the time and both said that I had to stay. Shortly after that I vomited in a waste bin in my cubicle. Once the stench hit them they told me to go home.
One time we were notified that a salary person got killed in the plant. What happened was he was walking and talking and fell in a floor opening where new cars were shuttled to. The accident report said that he died in the hospital. But his skull was crushed and in reality died at work. If there were fatalities in other plants were got notices about what happened. The best one I remember was a guy who got completely squashed in a punch press. They had to hose out the remains. However the accident report said he died at the hospital even though his body was just a bunch of goo. Turns out no one ever dies in a Gigantic Motors plant.
