I'm just… I don't even know. It was a minimum wage campus job that sucked but it was easy enough. I quit because management sucks so hard. It was absolutely appealing that they were still functioning. The final straw was when they decided that we, minimum wage college students, needed to work 3/4 weekends of the month but we couldn't always decide what weekend we had off. They haven't implemented it yet and they may not end up doing it, but I wasn't going to stick around to find out. I found another minimum wage campus job and I love my new boss! I don't mind the fact that it's minimum wage because I get a lot of down time to do my homework and it covers my part of the bills and it's a job I enjoy. Well, they demanded I give two weeks. My new boss told me she's never ever heard of a campus job demanding two weeks. Regardless, it didn't hurt me to do it so I did. They cut my shifts after 6 days… I showed up today and they were like “nope!” Maybe I shouldn't have, but I sent a small rant to the work group chat saying that I had two weeks and had to tell my other job that I couldn't start yet so now I'm losing money and I have bills. A person liked my messages but then someone else sent a message saying that those were personal questions for my boss. Thing is… My boss doesn't respond. She didn't even respond to my two weeks. Also, I felt that the new hires should know how they'll be treated when they get ready to leave. I wouldn't be so mad if they didn't demand two weeks! So that's my rant.
Fortunately, my new boss is fine with me working a week early (she's actually very happy) and she really likes me. I like my coworkers and it's a relaxed environment. She told me that all of the students she's gotten from that other place always complain about it and they're all very happy there. In fact, people tend to stay at this job until they graduate so they've had to do a large round of hiring because they all graduated and they'd been there so long. I can't wait to start this job!
