“They don’t call back or show up to the interview!”

Seriously. Screw every employer who says that. I remember applying for jobs between 2010 and 2019 and filling out dozens of applications a day. I remember going to interviews for local businesses and chains. It was industry standard that most employers don't call you and reject you or shoot you an e-mail: No contact means no job. It was that simple. Now, I haven't been in the service industry market in years. I don't know if it's still like that but I remember the time when there was no reason to expect most businesses to contact you to reject you. I'm dying to know why businesses all of a sudden have a problem with this practice when they themselves made it a standard in the service industry (and some other industries too.). This is some serious short term memory loss on their part. No contact means no job. It works…

This is some serious short term memory loss on their part. No contact means no job. It works both ways.
