i'm so sick of the place i work. they hired this old racist white guy six months ago, he's the kind of guy that asks asian people, 'where are you really from?' or says 'the blacks' if you don't quite catch it. but he's really low key so the white people here don't notice.
the team has another white guy, this older british guy, who's an asshole. like, he sends slack messages making fun of managers and stuff, and is really sarcastic at inappropriate times. and he won't shut the fuck up. like, i put a stop watch on him once in a meeting, and he spoke for 12 and a half minutes non stop when someone asked him, “what's your ballpark for how long this is going to take?” after that 12 and a half minutes, the same person said, “I'm not sure I understood,” and then the brit asshole said, “i don't know it's not possible to know.”
they protect each other at work, and there's other people on the team that are way more competent. but they keep promoting these incompetent people and i'm sick of it. i want to escape this fucking job and watch this shithole burn itself to the ground.
