In the past few weeks, I've seen multiple posts about people getting upset that their request for PTO or sick leave was denied AFTER you submit your resignation. If you think you will be leaving your job in the next few months and you have accrued vacation or sick time, you should use it as far in advance as possible before you officially resign or quit. Also, make sure you review your company's policies/handbook on their rules of if/how PTO is paid out after you leave so aren't scrambling last second to figure out how it actually works. Nothing worse than leaving a job with time that you earned and for them to give you the finger as you walk out!
