I’ve been cleaning up litter for a while now. I do this on my own, not through any organization nor for any monetary pay. I do this because it needs to be done. I’ve also volunteered, in the past, to help with animals as well as the homeless. I have never seen a dime for this type of work, which is desperately needed, more so than any help I can ever give.
Meanwhile, I’ll fucking starve if I don’t sell my time to some unnecessary business to do a bullshit job. I’m told I don’t have any skills, when, in reality, I just don’t have any skills that business owners can easily exploit. Can they identify wild flora? Do they know how to dispose of different types of waste? Do they know how to properly care for a sick or an injured dog? Do they know how to comfort someone who has lost everything?
