- Received a doctor's note with limitations for work due to medical reasons. No lifting pulling moving 40+ pounds, 75 percent of 8 hour shift off my feet, 25 percent standing.
- Doctor refused to state my ankle injury, which caused the limitations, were work related because he “wasn't sure what I do outside of work that might be affecting my ankle” I am 420 pounds at 5ft 11. I don't do anything outside of work. Also would not write it as a disability due to mobility issues since I can stand on my feet for 8+ hours a day.
- Company ignored my doctor's note for a month while we were busy, then told me that they are placing me on suspension while they discuss with team leaders about possible accommodations
- I have been on suspension for 3 months. Can't file for unemployment due to the Department of Labor finding ” We have determined that you are on a leave of absence from the above employer as defined by law. You are considered to be not unemployed as the employment relationship has not been severed. You are not eligible for benefits. “
- They use the weight movement limitation to say I can't do jobs that “bins on wheels may weigh over 40+pounds.” By that logic I can't even open doors since they weigh more than 40+.
- Receiving paychecks still because they are using my vacation pay to “help me at this time” even though I did not request my vacation hours to be touched for this mandatory and forceful suspension. That was going to be my bulk check when I had no other option but to quit.
- i don't know what to do. i want my unemployment, I've earned it after 10 years and this is what I get? How is this legal? I know for sure it's not right.
