“Ultimately, we have committed to allow team members around the globe to choose the work style that best fits their lifestyle – whether that is remote or in an office or a blend of the two.” “Our business results show it’s working for us, and I believe this model will eventually be embraced as the future of work.”
They even independently funded a study showing that 80% of workers prefer remote work.
Employees took him at his word and made life altering choices based on this information. They moved closer to family, decided to get pregnant, sold their 2nd car, made new budgets to reflect the WFM lifestyle, ect. Not even a year later and with 0 heads up from management, we were hit with a notice to return to the office 3 days a week. ASAP. Pre-covid we were only required 2 days a week in office. The same CEO added 10 billion to their personal fortune while the company made 221 billion in revenue during the 3 years of the pandemic. We didn't get raises this year. The ruling class won't even allow us the simplest of conveniences.
