Those days, when you just feel “done”

I work for the NHS and have done for years, in a front facing, but non medical role. Today, two members of staff, berated me for making a mistake, and let me stress, they stood and watched me make a mistake, rather than step in and correct me before I did so, and as I walked away, they both started bitching about me. An hour or so later, a patient's son came in and said if he didn't get is own way, he would “kick off”. Over the years I have been threatened, once with someone who produced a hunting knife. I have been grabbed, swung for, spat on twice, yelled at and have families who cannot be given the answer they want, right away, go nuclear over the phone. I am left to fend for myself. All for a take home pay of £9 an hour. I am so…
