There is an online job search in the US where employers can require applicants to pass a number of proficiency tests prior to their applications even being considered. You indeed know the one if you’re looking for a job currently. It is INCREDIBLY belittling to me, as I have my (very good) educational and professional background right on my resume. And recently, I applied with a recruiter/employment agency of a vibrant green color who wanted me to complete (no joke) 11 half hour assessments on my own unpaid time.
I do realize that people falsify resumes…but these “tests” are not really that conclusive, are they?
