I went to a job interview for a dog day care. First interview went well except the part where they didn't disclose the wage to me at all. They said they “wait for the second interview to discuss that”.
I get a voicemail for a second interview, but instead of a traditional interview, you know… sitting and talking… they wanted me to come in and WORK A HALF SHIFT to see “if I like the job” and to see how I do in the job. Its their way of really testing their hires… LOL. Best part is, there was STILL NO TALK ABOUT WAGE. So they wanted me to work for an unknown wage, cleaning dog s*** and getting dirty and smelling, and I would be paid for the work IF i got hired. If I didn't like the job, or I wasn't hired… well I'm shit out of luck and that company just got free labour. They also said “please let us know ASAP as the time slots may get filled” like trying to pressure me and think they are doing me a favour when I could get 500 other jobs instantly because EVERYONE is hiring in my area.
What an absolute s*** show and joke that was. Complete disrespect of my time. Can't believe companies think that is actually a good hiring method. I immediately declined.
