I worked as a bedside nurse for 15 years before landing a new (non-bedside) job a few months ago. During my orientation, I had thoughts of quitting, but I chalked that up to it being new and unfamiliar. I’m four months into the job and really hate it. Part of me just wants to give my two weeks notice and cash out my PTO which is about four weeks of pay. I really think that would allow me enough time to breath before taking another job. I also have money in savings in case the process took longer than expected. Anyone else leave a job they hated before they had another one lined up? How did it work out for you?
