Pretty much the title. I'm working at a store that has a customer loyalty program, and we are expected to get a certain amount of people to sign up or, supposedly, we will be fired.
Not a deadline either. This is permanent. 17% of all customers must be new sign ups and I'm threatened with termination if not.
I feel like this is an impossible request. If someone says no, it's not like I can force them to sign up, and only about 20% of all customers aren't signed up anyway. So only 3% are allowed to leave without signing up, otherwise I get fired? Absolutely ridiculous.
I don't care about this job to be honest, though I don't want to just up and quit. Primarily looking for ways to malicious compliance this, particularly without being rude to customers.
