I work at a senior living facility and about a month ago we found out that my mother in law has liver cancer so I called off work when we found out (only 1 day) to go see her. The other day I called off of work because she had a stroke and was placed in the ICU and had to have a clot removed from her brain. I texted my boss the situation and she ignored me so I was left worrying about my mother in law and worrying about my job because I never got a response. The next day she said if I call out again within 90 days then I will receive a write up.
I'm really reconsidering my employment at the place.
