My partner works at a yoga studio in Rhode island and is required to work on Sunday’s. Most businesses that require Sunday hours are also required to pay time and a half. There are a few exemptions: hospitality, agriculture, commercial fishing (to name a few). We can’t find any exemptions for health clubs, but the owner is claiming they are exempt. How should we go about challenging this claim? Does anyone know anything about these laws? Thank you!
