Tips to manage the little free time I have?

Joined the corporate life a few years ago, now at a new job that requires core hours to be 9-6pm (1 hour lunch). I find it impossible to do anything after work and I feel like a robot. I’m in my late twenties and barely have a social life, and the few friends I try to meet up with on the weekend also are quite busy and finding a weekend that fits everyone’s schedule due to life obligations etc is like working a miracle. Everyone seems to be in the same boat.

I’m sitting here, seeing that Fall has basically come and gone in a blink of an eye, and due to the way people have to sacrifice their lives for work, you literally have to make plans like 3-4 weeks out.

The only silver lining I see is that most people I know are on the corporate schedule as well – but is there a secret to managing friendships / a social life while slaving away most of my waking hours at work?
