I am a woman who has been working security at my current company for almost 4 years. I mainly just deter people from breaking into cars. I was attacked by a random man last week at work and got a serious concussion. Worker's comp won't cover lost wages for the 2 days I missed work because of it, and they don't offer PTO.
I've wanted to quit this job for a long time, but I'm in the process of buying my first house finally. I don't want to start a new job because it would prevent me from qualifying. It's so absurd that I'm literally putting my life at risk just for an opportunity to have a stable future. And then there's the obvious factor that I want to keep being able to pay my current bills and necessities.
Today, I'm back at work, and a drunk guy started getting hostile towards me because he couldn't figure out how to use the callbox as if that's my problem.
