Man, I show up every day, on time, and I work my ass OFF. Shirt is soaked with sweat every single day when I leave. I currently have to deal with calling in an hour before my shift, so around 4 am. Twice I got called back a bit later and asked to come in, got up, dressed, and ready and got there within an hour both times. But apparently I have a problem with what time I start? What I have a problem with is not getting paid from the second I clock in, which is a federal law, and I don’t like starting later than everyone else, but that’s how that goes.
Not to mention, I haven’t missed a single day of work since the beginning of the pandemic, and I also never received a bonus, bump in pay, extra PTO, or literally any sort of bonus or token of appreciation. Nothing. Nada. Just more work. So tired of this unregulated corporate and capitalist bullshit everywhere you look
