today I learned how emergency service workers can’t strike

I knew that where I am paramedics only get paid about 19 an hour which is insultingly low for the area we're in, I said to the person who told me this a while back that they should strike. Then they told me they couldn't because they're seen as essential services and would be forced back to work if they tried. In a time when inflation is at a record high, the price of living is higher than ever, and there's a shortage of EMS workers they want to force people to work? Everyone should quit and see how horrible things get before the bosses pull their heads out their asses and pay these people what they're worth.
