I’m a union employee and have over 10 years here at my current company. After 80 hour work weeks, injuries for which I didn’t report to worksman comp, and volunteering to work during my unpaid breaks, I’m done. I always thought that working hard and being a reliable employee would give me some respect and perks by management. Nope, they used me and today was pretty clear. My boss’s nephew despite just starting this month got the same position as me from the start. We were understaffed for the warehouse and my boss picked me to go help out (despite my broken back from doing said work). I brought up seniority and everything I did for the company, didn’t do Jack shit. Currently clocked in, I’m just resting in my car.
