Antiwork

Today, my boss told me that despite everything going on in the world, we still have to get our jobs done.

I work in nonprofit fundraising. My job is not life or death and if I walked away tomorrow, I’m 100% replaceable despite all the “family” rhetoric they barf all over the place. I told him a few weeks ago that due to a deeply personal reason that I did not feel comfortable sharing, I had a difficult time doing my job (but I still did it). My reason actually falls under protection from the ADA but I did not invoke special accommodations, despite my better judgement. Now, I’m looking into ways that I can be better accommodated since it is covered by ADA. Also, looking for another job because I don’t appreciate thinly veiled threats.
