I left work early last night and sent an email to HR explaining why. One point was being told that my shift has the same number of people in our area as first shift, so we need to produce 30+ units a night more than first shift.
The other point was being guilted by coworkers for not paying $3 a slice for shitty pizza. “But that money goes to your coworkers who have things like covid or a house fire” The guy telling me that was the one who directly benefits from that because his house burned down.
I told HR that I'm here for the money. I'm not busting my ass with a disability to compete with people who I don't know enough about to want to crush them. I'm also not being paid more for winning. I'm also not going to pay for pizza when I can eat what I want by packing my own lunch for less.
Their eyes got wide AF. So I tried to have them shoot out their heads by adding, ” If I wanted to be exploited and manipulated, I wouldn't have left the church. I'm here for the money, not community. Again, if I wanted that I could have kept going to church. ”
Handed in my fob and walked out.
