Her boss doesn’t pay a living wage and has dragged out the conversation of my wife even having more suitable accommodations such as less standing to help her tendinitis and scoliosis.
For reference, the boss is the owner of a coffee shop and interior design studio in one of the most expensive zip codes in the country yet insists that if she doesn’t have a living wage, she isn’t working hard enough for tips.
The owner goes on a trip at least once a month and most of them are out of the country while we have had to ask for help from family to just pay rent.
Like they had to recently make the case to the owner to order more CUPS because they are also made to feel bad for anything they order though the shop exceeds their goals each and every month.
Like part of me just wants to tell a local news outlet or something because the business owner is made to be this pioneer of small business who just recently bought property in the most expensive part of one of the most expensive towns in the south.
My wife is now looking for new work but it doesn’t feel right to just leave and not do something for them to pay for what they’ve put so many employees through like us.
Any of you guys got any ideas for revenge that doesn’t involve crime (or at least explicit crime)?
