Recently I picked up this job for the time being and when I was hired my boss/ owner of the company seemed cool. This is a small company and the owner is only concerned about making money. His employees are just there to make him money. He doesn’t offer health care, or any benefits for that matter. He just pays fairly decent. This man wants his employees to work hard and sell more, so he can kick a 15% commission on sales, which is fine but really doesn’t earn me much more then $100 extra on my check. Plus commissions are only paid if the customer pays. That could be a while. Recently there was a meeting and he mentioned worker’s compensation and how with too many claims the insurance companies won’t accept the company anymore. So I started thinking, since this job is temporary anyways.. why don’t I get hurt and milk this asshole for 60% of my pay, while working somewhere else. I don’t see him using a PI to investigate.
