I work at a healthcare company where turnover is prominent. As member of the compliance department, I face all the problems or legal matters the company undergoes along with the Legal or Director of Compliance. In the past six months, every member of the compliance team has quit. Due to this, I have accumulated all their projects with lack of information while I juggle other audits/investigation. I’m doing the work of multiple people while earning the minimum salary allowed in my state. I’ve been with the company for a couple of years, and I am a single mom who can’t simply quit at once. I’m struggling with asking for a raise and my mental health is under a great amount of stress considering my father passed away. What are your thoughts?
