Yall, I need to just vent. If this is stupid or the wrong place… just ignore me.
Either my mental health has just gotten so bad, or every workplace just freaking sucks.
I left a large corporation after being overworked — 12 hour days as a salaried employee — to the point where it just destroyed my mental health.
I quit on my lunch break. Via email. Just noped out.
I took a break. Had to have surgery.
Started a new job and seven weeks later I feel like I'm about to have another mental health crisis singularly because of work.
I like what I do. I like my job. I make a difference in people's lives.
I do not like the petty office drama and bullying. I came home crying yesterday because of a bully supervisor and just feeling absolutely defeated. Like I try hard, work my ass off. Yes, I'm still a bit new and I'm gonna make mistakes, but fucking he'll. I don't need to be bullied over it. The fact I'm not perfect, that I'm not a robot, that I dont have an eidedic memory doesn't merit being the subject of the office bitch clique.
I really just want to give up altogether. What even is the point?
Is it me or is this just some systemic thing where every workplace in America is just so fucking toxic?
