I heard that a friend's mother had passed away a few days ago. I kept it to myself and didn't try and get time off or anything. I did, however, tell my trainer that I honestly wasn't paying attention like I should have on Friday and if I could hang back with the class that wasn't taking live calls, FOR A DAY to get my head back into it, that would be really helpful.
No, sorry; but a few hours later she announces that we're all supposed to go to work TWO HOURS EARLY on Halloween to work around HER schedule, so she can take HER kid trick or treating. Several people voiced that they didn't want to do this. We were immediately shamed by the suck ups, and the trainer apparently just decided to go with that and had HR approve this nonsense.
Yeah, I hope YOUR kid has a great day, I'm gonna be ASLEEP on MY anniversary with my BF because I had to get up at 5am for some persons kid. But forget MY needs, I'm not a trainer, right?
