Although applicant has the laboratory experience and 3 years of data validation experience with radiological and other chemistry data, this company feels that the applicant would not be a good fit for the position. The applicant was employed for approximately 20 years with the same employer and decided to leave his position in August 2021 for a career path change. During the progression of the interview, it became clearer to the company's team that the applicant was seeking employment within the realm of data analytics as the applicant's goal seemed to be to ascertain certifications within that field. The applicant struggled during much of the interview to provide explanations and clarifications which draws question regarding the applicants communication and report writing skills that are also needed for this position. We also were concerned about the applicant's ability to work efficiently and his self-motivation given the fact that the applicant has not been employed these past 7 months and the applicant's seemingly relaxed attire for the interview.”[/unquote]
The feedback was comprehensive and fair to a point. The last sentence of the feedback alludes to presumptuous nature of the hiring manager. The interview never addressed questions towards my 7 months of unemployed status. My only reply was through the company's career site to thank them for the opportunity to interview and the feedback. Then include how belittling the last sentence of the feedback felt. I can no longer recommend this company as a perspective employer.
