What a privilege it is to work a job with two weeks paid vacation. A luxury reserved for “skilled” workers, and a generous allowance for the interruption to work for the employer.
A load of garbage. They instill in us that we should have to work to earn and achieve this pittance of rest. That it's something only good jobs offer.
You know what?
That's less than one day off per month. How is that remotely humane? One day a month?
And they work hard to deny even that! They come up with things like “unlimited” PTO to shame you into using less, else you aren't a “team player.” They deny your requests then don't do an end of year payout.
We deserve more. We have worked hard for better. Let's take it.
