Hey everyone
So I tested positive for Covid on Wednesday night and I phoned my employer on Thursday to let them know I won't be in work.
I told them on the phone yesterday that I had tested positive for Covid only the night before, that I am showing symptoms and that I feel terrible.
Everything was fine and all good until this morning when I get two texts from my work asking me to call them. I phoned them and they explained I need to phone the sick line everyday until I come back.
I expressed to them that doesn't really seem fair as I need as much rest as possible right now and I shouldn't have to act like I'm still getting up for work.
They replied back that it's policy. Needless to say the call didn't go past that.
So im writing on here to get people's opinions and thoughts on this and is there anything I can do because I believe this shouldn't be allowed?
