I have stocks in several companies — no major shareholding, just trying my hand at this money game. One of the things I tell my friends is to carefully read what the board of directors asks you to agree to — THEN ALWAYS VOTE AGAINST THE CEO COMPENSATION PACKAGE. This makes sense — CEOs get raises from the board of directors, based on the SHAREHOLDERS will. If the workers of companies that give stock options ever did this across the board, I wonder if the CEO would not get the raise? It's a small exercise of power…DO IT!
