I’m avoiding any mention of the name of the company or actual names just in case of any repercussion
This is a text sent by an employee on our employee group chat:
“I have a feeling this won't go down well but I'm just the messenger, John has asked me to tell everyone he wants 2 weeks holiday from January to March next year booked, I did question it and the response was he just had to deal with loads of holiday at the end of this year.”
I’m asking if this is legal or in anyway allowed. There was nothing in the contract mentioning this. I replied with if there was nothing in writing he cannot enforce it, but I’d like different opinions and any other insights. FYI this is retail.
