It's not a bed of roses over here and it isn't helped by the Government announcing benefit cut after benefit cut for the unemployed, but jobs are out there for the suitably qualified and we don't seem to get anywhere near the level of crap that you guys have to put up with.
US Co's appear to want stupid hours for minimum pay and no benefits such as health insurance etc (we have the NHS so unless you want to pay for it, healthcare is free). I've read a ton of posts about forming unions at the risk of losing your job – it's nuts!
I worked for a US Co '14 thru '20 (but based in the UK) and it took me a while to fully understand the paranoia everyone suffered over losing their job. I totally get it now.
All the best guys – nobody deserves the shitty conditions you have to endure.
EDIT Since writing this I've just read another half a dozen or so posts, an my jaw is open at what I'm seeing. If anyone wants to move to the UK, I have a spare room. You poor, poor bastards. The US used to be the country of my dreams, somewhere that throughout my teens I wanted to live. Now? Never….
