So, I'm a nurse. The company I work for (a charity) changed their policy on COVID -related absences recently and, where we were being paid for being off with these absences before and they did not count towards our absence triggers, no questions asked, that's no longer the case. Last week, I tested positive for COVID while on shift and, although I was feeling well enough to continue my day, my manager asked me to leave and not to come in for the rest of the week. I tried to argue that I was feeling okay to be there but she said no, she felt we had to continue to be cautious. Fair enough. But now I don't think I'm going to be paid for these shifts. Legally, does anyone know where I stand with this?
