When you look at the current state of work and life in America, it’s clear that Americans are constantly gaslighted and bamboozled by the US government (and this is irrespective of party in power). One of the key things that get thrown at them a lot to justify why pay has not only been stagnant but has dropped relative to inflation is all these economic numbers that are irrelevant. What’s relevant is the fact that due to automation and technological advancements which are mostly owned and controlled by the government and its corporate arms, production and productivity has reached unprecedented levels in human history. Yet, the life of the average man has not only not improved, it has become worse. In almost every area of life things have changed for the worse for the average American. If the real devaluation of the US dollar and the increase in productivity were to be factored in, wages should have been at much higher levels right now. And unfortunately this trend is going to continue unless drastic changes are made.
