I started working +/- 1 day/week for a large (multi-?) national company making a daily wage a little over a year ago. As far as I know I'm the only part-time employee doing my particular job, so I don't think they know exactly how to handle me. For the first few months I was seen as full-time employee and had the commiserate benefits. After a few months they took them away. I was fine with it since I get my health insure through my spouse. When the transition happened they paid out the few days of PTO I had accumulated.
Prior to and since the transition I've take a few vacation days. However, my PTO keeps accruing without any decrease. Anyone have thoughts as to whether I will have to pay this back at some point? I don't plan on working for the company long-term, but I do minimal work and make a little money in addition to my full-time gig.
Anyone been in a similar situation or have HR experience in something like this? I thought about posting on r/legaladvice, but figured I'd get more traction here.
