After corresponding with the VP of the department, they reached out to HR and were informed HR never had contact with me, nor received notice of my intent to resign and allege they attempted to reach out to me including via certified mail to let me know to contact them.
However, I was in constant contact with HR at least once a week prior to departing (attempting to get the company to clear me to return to work after recovering from Covid). Additionally I’m a stickler for retaining documentation and still have everything the company ever mailed me filed away for any unforeseen circumstances, and can confirm I never received any documents beyond COBRA coverage options.
I’ve tried escalating further within the HR department and have gotten no where. At this point it pretty much seems like this is gonna end up being an “it is what it is” situation and move on.
Unfortunately this has really tarnished my opinion of this company as a whole, whom we still provide business to. At this point I want to be petty and share full details with all our friends and family to not do business with them, but they are so large it would be a drop in the bucket.
