UPDATE: employer denied service dog

A few days ago my employer told me they were denying my service dog even though I had kept them in the loop for months that this was something I was working on getting and everyone was okay with it. Now suddenly HR informed me that corporate said no, and today I finally heard details. That “this is how they’ve always done it, and people might have allergens or be afraid of dogs” I informed her that this goes against ADA and is illegal to deny me for that reason. She changed her tune and went from compassionate to cold and snappy. She offered me a hybrid work schedule but I couldn’t bring my service dog on the days I’m in office. I’m at a loss for words, I work in sales, I’m at my cubicle all day and there’s about 12 people in my office. I’m baffled that they are making me fight for this. Advice? Encouragement? I’m just so tired of always fighting to be treated fairly.
