Idk if anyone really cares for an update but I got my raise! My manager even actually got me more than I asked him for!!!
I mentioned last time that raises don't go out till mid year, but my manager found a way around that. He had me apply for my new PROMOTED AND SALARIED position and then just had HR approve it so we didn't have to wait. Effective next Monday I will be getting roughly a 27% raise, and I will no longer be hourly.
I'm honestly in shock right now. My manager is such a kind guy, and I really only barely expected to get what I asked for (if not less). But this man fought for an extra 5k on top of what I asked for. AND he informed me that I am definitely still eligible for the yearly raises in a few months, so I'll be getting another one soon! Just the normal few percent, but still that's fuckin baller.
I'm one of the few people in this world that has a human for a manager. They're out there folks. Without this sub I probably wouldn't have even really gone out and looked at how underpaid I was, but now I have a market rate salary! Keep looking and fighting for what you deserve!
