Update on my job situation from my other post

Here is the other post: Moved, new job, and now quitting after 5 months. : antiwork (reddit.com) Since, I have been applying and interviewing like crazy. 2 weeks ago, I had a week full of interviews. Some first, some second ones. I'll leave the names off for the companies, but one was fully remote, the 2nd one was in town but no remote/hybrid work, and the 3rd was in town with some hybrid. The in town one, with no hybrid, I was using a recruiter to help me with. Some fishy things happened with this one that had me worried. The job was for a Storage Architect for a very large company. Since, I have been applying and interviewing like crazy.

The pay was 90-120k a year. I qualified for the position without any issues. They liked me a lot. I was told I was #1 on their list. Then I found out from the recruiter, after the first interview, they made a mistake, and the title is Storage Engineer, and the pay is $85k tops. I was able to push him to 88k,, but that was it. Their site showed Storage Architect on it, with the original information, and another recruiter called me and mentioned all the original information. But this very well-known agency said it wasn't correct and this was it. I went for a in person interview, liked the people, and all went well. I pretty much had it. They however sat on making the offer too long. Per them, they had two more people they didn't sound like they were interested in their cio had to interview, and they would then make an offer Friday. Friday came and went. No offer from them. However, while looking for a house, I got a call from the fully remote job that I only had an interview with, and they made an offer I couldn't refuse. Way more pay that this one would have been, fully remote, may require some more work however, and a little bit of travel occasionally, but I was more impressed with them overall. The other company that had the hybrid, called and I missed it, no voicemail, and I reached out to the person who scheduled the interview and they would reach whoever it was to call me back. Never received a call again. Oh well to that. The no remote job, recruiter, called me Tuesday to verify I was still open for the job. I said, I was on Friday, but you never called. I accepted another offer. They said, what can we do to make it right or better? Beat $$$$$$ the amount, and some hybrid work, and I will consider it. They said no to both.

With this, I wanted to tell everyone, to keep your hopes up. Jobs are out there. Pay increases are too. You have to work for them to get there. I was stuck in a position for 8 years. I jumped twice over the last 8 months. My pay increased by 50k a year by doing that to a fully remote job.
