vacations don’t leave one “rejuvenated” at all…

Is this just me? I know a lot of people here can't afford to take vacations at all, I am well aware of that, but I have noticed this myself when I am fortunate enough to be able to do just that. The common idea is that when you get back you will be “full of energy, to get back to work and work 4 times faster, because hey, you are rejuvenated and full of energy now”. Or something like that. But getting away from work just does not do that at all for me. It makes one feel really depressed to get a glimpse of how life could be, and what freedom tastes like. It does not make one feel rejuvenated at all. Or it does completely, but it is just gone when you are forced to return to your work. One feels depressed at the comparison, and if…

One feels depressed at the comparison, and if one gets depressed, the mental health system has convinced us that WE have something literally wrong with our brains to feel that way and meds are pushed at us to numb us. That happened to me, now I have sexual dysfunction and trauma for life AND much worse depression.
