I’m on an unpaid leave of absence because I got sick and needed to strengthen the fine motor skills in my arm. Nuff said. I have the Harry Potter movies on as background, and I’m thinking: Crap! This is just like what is happening to us now! (Especially “The Order of the Phoenix”: raise your hand if you have a Dolores Umbridge for a boss).
Right now, people are desperate, only looking to support themselves and/or their families, while their health is slowly destroyed, and their hope needlessly chipped away. Some have committed suicide; others have been falsely accused and imprisoned, and all of us live with the FEAR.
That’s the worst part, isn’t it, the fear that never seems to go away, or let us enjoy our lives. Our malicious employers seem to say that “there is no good and evil, there is only power and those too weak to seek it.” So they sexually harass, overwork, steal tips, place profit over safety, advertise fake jobs, and bully us, etc.
But these corrupt billionaires, politicians, corporations, and CEOs will be held accountable……because their paranoia and attempts at suppression have already created victors in the very people they try to control.
