So my ex employer decided that they don’t want to pay me for my last 10 days of work. They have been misclassifying me as a Independent Contractor, they also been stealing money from every one of my paychecks since beginning to work there. On top of that, they have refused to pay me my last check.
I tried talking to my ex employer about paying me for the last week but she has been dodging my texts. When I threatened to call the department of labor she finally responded and accused me of stealing cash. Still, no paycheck.
I contacted the department of labor but they said I can’t file a claim until 10 days after payday.
I’m curious to what happens after I call the department of labor with these complaints?
