So, up until about an hour ago, I was a Hooter's Girl. I fell for the same bullshit everyone else does, which is that Hooters is a brand and that it's an honor to be chosen for this job. LET ME TELL YOU that's all just lies they tell you in order to get you to basically work for nothing while being objectified by creepy ass old dudes. I put up with so much shit from management, like being bullied and purposely scheduled on days and times that I couldn't be there when they knew my situation from day one. I tried so hard thinking that all I needed to do was prove myself and things would get better and boy was I wrong. I busted my ass every shift only to have customers NOT tip and then management would make me claim more than what I made that night even when I was basically walking out with nothing. This job also happened to be 30 minutes away from where I live and gas isn't cheap as we all know. So tonight, I wasted my gas going to work and it was completely dead, yet we had at least 7 girls on the floor and none of us are making money. By 8pm I'm really pissed because I have no tables and the mod won't cut anyone so I just grabbed my shit and walked tf out. I've had managers calling amd texting me since they realized I'm gone and I'm not gonna answer any of that bs cause I'm fucking DONE.
