I just started a new job today. My boss told me to talk with IT to install outlook on my personal phone. I said “ok” but wonder if I can ask for a work phone ? And if a work phone is not possible, how do I say that I feel uncomfortable adding outlook to my personal phone? The reason I say that is because at previous jobs, if we wanted to add to our personal phone, we had to sign a document saying that the company then had access to our personal phone data. Obviously I always just opted for the work phone. I’m a senior manager so I don’t know why a work phone wasn’t even offered.
