So for a little history:
I manage a little late night calzone spot…. It’s super run down (broken containers, dishwashing sink that half works, things like that) and the hours are inconsistent. Some days I work 5 and a half hour shifts, other days are 11 hour shifts. Pay is average.
I put in my two weeks a few hours before my shift yesterday. No issue there. As soon as I showed up for my shift, I was told by the employee that opened the store that the owner came into the store and started talking shit about me. How “I should’ve been fired when the store was renovated a few months ago” and how “I’m glad he’s quitting anyways because his shitty attitude will affect other employees”
I’ve only been at this place a year and I’m singlehandedly the only employee that has lasted this long. I feel hurt and am in a secure place to leave without any real repercussions. I’ve never fucked over an employer like this but just feel so wronged.
I love my coworkers and don’t wanna screw them over.
Second opinions?
P.S. if I quit tomorrow, the only other two that are scheduled with me have said that they will not show up either.
Edit: I also just found out the owner changed the schedule yesterday and, without telling me, scheduled me to come in 3 hours early today.
