So imma just say their name cause I’m not getting paid enough to keep it quiet but l worked at American Freight it’s a furniture warehouse store I guess ? Idk we sell dumb shit like sofas and mattresses , anyway Im in the “ warehouse” part which is just one half of a big ass building and at first it seemed cool & pretty easy work the first week or so then our warehouse manager quit and 3 others leaving 2 other guys and myself as the only people.
So here’s where the problem starts , my schedule immediately got switched from what it was before ( set schedule 8-4 mon – thurs ) to any day of the week at any time which I immediately had a problem with cause I barely make 11 bucks a hour. Then the manager who fucking sucks at her job schedules me to work every day of the week besides Friday which is usually truck day where everyone is required to come in and manually take all the shit off the truck . I think oh well at least I can make extra money and dip after I’m done which was alright but then I get my first check after calculating all the hours I worked and seen it was short by around 18 hours of “ overtime “ ( I wasn’t scheduled to be there but the only day I get off is truck day so I have to come in ) so I immediately ask my manager what’s up with my check being short to which she says that because I’m not scheduled on Friday’s that I don’t get paid for truck days but it’s literally required to come in for , how the fuck is this legal ? Ngl I felt like viciously beating the shit out of my manager right there but I ended up just walking out and telling them they can suck my dick if they think I’m gonna willfully waste my fucking time like that and quit .
